WSSL 2012 Week 3 Round Up

Overview

The STUDS wrested back control of Conference A this week with a comfortable victory over the Badgers. Their Week 4 clash with Westway Warriors will likely decide who gets top spot in the seedings for the quarter finals.

Westway Wildcats have completed their three Conference matches and now head Pool B with 14 points from a maximum of 18. Dossi’s Desperados need at least four points from their match with WHOREFC on 3 July to re-claim top spot.

49 players have graced the Westway courts to date in Superleague 2012 and Lia Redmond remains both the busiest and most successful, with a magnificent haul of 209 points from 5 matches. Only Will Betts splits the Redmond sisters at the top of the MVP honours board.

Superleague debutante Harriet Allan was Golden Glove of the week with an amazing four shots in the hole in the first game of her match for the Studs against the Badgers. Despite relying on one arm and one leg for the majority of his match, Fivercide ace Phil Lyndon potted three shots, and a season total of five now puts him firmly in the running for the overall award, as title leader Will Betts was pot-less this week.
