08/04/19: The top seeds in the Kinnaird and Ladies Championships were in imperious form at Eton over the weekend, cruising into the finals of their respective competitions with comfortable victories.
On Saturday afternoon, Karen Hird & Charlotta Cooley dominated their match against Elana Osen & Marjolaine Briscoe from start to finish, returning cuts almost at will, controlling the vast majority of the rallies and not really allowing their opponents any opportunity to show what they are capable of. Following a similarly impressive performance last week from the second seeds Ashley Lumbard & Emily Scoones, the final next Sunday promises to be a cracker.
The second Kinnaird Cup semi-final on Sunday morning was also business as usual. Ed Taylor had flown back from Switzerland to play following his and Sunil Tailor's impressive run to the semi-finals, but hopes of a shock victory and a place in the final were quickly dashed as Tom Dunbar & Seb Cooley were simply too good and too accurate in all departments, winning 12-3, 12-3, 12-2 to book their place in next week's final against Riki Houlden & Jonny Ho.
Ladies Championships Semi-Final
K.Hird & C.Cooley (1) beat E.Osen & M.Briscoe (4) 3-0 (12-0, 12-0, 12-2)
Kinnaird Cup Semi-Final

The Finals will be at Eton on Sunday April 14th:
