23/03/23: Yesterday's action in the N/national Schools' Championships saw the U14 tournament get underway alongside two thrilling Open semi-finals.
Top seeds Genesis Nsenga & Aaditya Anoop of St.Olave's were taken to five games by Berkhamsted's Sam Kaynama & Ben Spooner, finally making it through to the final with a 12-9 win in the fifth and deciding game. In the other half of the draw, the other St.Olave's pair of Franklin Baron & Ethan Nancekivell-Smith take a game off Eton's Seb Corso & Marcel Mauratille before losing in four. The final is at Shrewsbury at 9:45am this morning.
The main action of the day was the U14 competition, with 50 pairs battling it out all the way to the semi-final stages, with the final four consisting of Berkhamsted 1, St.Olave's 1, Eton 1 and Eton 2.
