If you are an EFA member, please read the message below from former EFA Chairman Peter Worth about what you need to do next. CLICK HERE to download the gift aid form.
Dear EFA Member,
Gift Aid for your EFA subscription
As you may have heard the EFA has recently been granted Charitable Status by the Charity Commission in recognition of the fact that as an amateur association we provide a public benefit - \"sport and recreation\" - for the benefit of the public. This new status is therefore a landmark change in the history of our Association.
To assist charitable organisations, the government provides financial assistance including the ability to recover Gift Aid on subscriptions and donations made to the Charity.
The EFA is therefore now able to apply for Gift Aid on all future donations and subscriptions paid by members who are UKtaxpayers, and this in turn will greatly assist the Association in its policy of investing its funds back into the game.
We can benefit from Gift Aid on the annual subscriptions which fall due shortly on 1 July 2013. You will immediately see that, if we are to benefit from this, great importance and urgency attaches to every member who is a UKtaxpayer to send back to us a signed Gift Aid form as soon as possible.
CLICK HERE to download the Gift Aid form. If you are a UK taxpayer I would be extremely grateful if you could please kindly complete and return this to our Vice-Chairman, Ronald Pattison, as soon as possible at the address given below. As many of you will be aware Ronald has been the person dealing with the Charity Commission on behalf of the Association.
There really is no time like the present! Why not do this NOWas soon as you have finished reading this letter!! It would make a fantastic difference if everyone would do this
With Kind Regards and Many Thanks
