10/07/21: Defending champions Seb Cooley & Tom Dunbar made it through to the Kinnaird Cup final in association with Advanta Wealth at Eton today with a comfortable win over Hugo Young & Noah Caplin.

S.Cooley & T.Dunbar (1) beat H.Young & N.Caplin (5) 3-0 (12-0, 12-5, 12-4)

Delayed by six days because of required self-isolation, the second semi-final of this year's Kinniard Cup was as short and straightforward as the first semi-final had been long and fluctuating last weekend. Youngsters Hugo Young & Noah Caplin were in their first ever Kinnaird semi-final having won a fantastic five game quarter-final from 2-0 down against Ed Taylor & Sunil Tailor but found themselves up against a highly motivated Seb & Tom, who were looking to win as quickly and efficiently as possible to allow them to defend their title the following day against Jonny Ho & Riki Houlden.

The first game was more ruthless than merely efficient; Hugo & Noah were unable to compete effectively at the set piece and were blown away 12-0. They competed better in the second and third games, growing into the match and beginning to find a bit more joy in the cut and return battle, but Seb & Tom were in an unforgiving mood and were always in control of the second and third games, running out 12-0, 12-5, 12-4 winners.
